And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up to the mountain by himself to pray. ~ Matthew 14:23
Jesus went on from there and walked beside the Sea of Galilee. And he went up on the mountain and sat down there. ~ Matthew 15:29
And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. ~ Matthew 17:1
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshipped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” ~ Matthew 28:16-20
To the mountain. Even Jesus.
A time to feed His soul. A time to reflect, prepare, renew and worship. A time to commune with His father, the Father.
To the mountain. Especially me.
Wherever, whatever, whoever, whenever, make time to go to the mountain.
His embrace is sweet, his Word profound, His comfort sure, His mercy boundless, His compassion limitless, His instruction clear, His call compelling, His power measureless, His holiness uncompromising, His love unconditional.
To the mountain.
