We’re headed to the mountains. Mary and I love to spend time in a place that awes and inspires us. When we walk the trails, bike the paths, explore new sights it’s as though the Father invites us to dip deeply into His well. The water is cold and refreshing. It’s life giving and perspective granting.
Are you going to the well? Have you set some time aside that gives you this same opportunity? It certainly doesn’t have to be the Rocky Mountains… but it needs to be somewhere. A time of rest. A time where we ask our Father to renew us.
“Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water? “ ~ John 4:10-11 (ESV)
Yes… living water. Delivered from the hand of our Savior.
Dip deep. Savor. Refresh.
Soli Deo gloria.
P.S. – Two weeks ago I wrote about “breaking in my boots.” I am delighted to report that yesterday they performed beautifully… as Mary and I hiked up Mt. Belford and Mt. Oxford. Nine hours of hiking should prove the point. While the mountains are stunning, they are no match for the beauty God created in you. No match at all. How deep is our Father’s love.
