He will bring us goodness and light.

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah the prophet)

Peace.

…because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. (Zachariah the father of John the Baptist in a vision about his son and the coming Messiah)

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” (Luke)

Peace.

In the chaos.

Peace.

The prophets had visions. The angels announced it. Jesus lived it.

Said the king to the people everywhere,
Listen to what I say!
Pray for peace, people, everywhere…(Do you hear what I hear? – Noel Regney)

Peace.

The people of God must rise up for the sake of peace. For the cause of Shalom. In the name of their King. For Jesus.

Peace, in the souls of people.

Unity was the closing prayer of Jesus against the backdrop of certain trials and tribulation. Our overcoming Savior has given us access to peace in the middle of storm.

Pray for peace, people, everywhere.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (John 14)

A quandary to the lost. A passion for the follower. Peace. Rest. Confident comfort.

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. (Paul in Romans)

Peace with God ushers in peace with family, friends, neighbors and even enemies.

Pray for peace, people, everywhere.

Pray for it. Live in it. Rest on it.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Paul to the church in Philippi)

His peace is vigilant to guard and protect. His peace exceeds anything we can understand.

Peace.

Pray for peace, people, everywhere.

Merry Christmas.
