About Dan Wolgemuth
Daniel S. Wolgemuth assumed the position of President/CEO of Youth For Christ USA on April 1, 2005, and on June 1st of 2021 assumed the role of President Emeritus of Youth For Christ USA under the leadership of YFC’s new President/CEO Jacob D. Bland.
Before YFC Dan spent 28 years in corporate work, including eight years with General Electric.
Dan and his wife, Mary, have a long and rich history with the organization. Dan’s father, Sam, served as President of Youth for Christ from 1965-1973. Dan has served on the National Board of Trustees from 1995 to present.
Dan is a member at Colorado Community Church in Denver.
Dan was elected to the Board of Trustees of Taylor University in 2006. In addition, Dan has written extensively. He currently writes a weekly devotional message called “Friday Fragments” that is widely accepted within and without Youth for Christ. Dan’s messages are posted regularly here on this blog site.
Dan was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters by Huntington University on May 12, 2012.
Dan and Mary have three married children, all living in Denver, CO: Andrew and Chrissy, parents of Malia, Davey, Naomi and Drew; Erik and Kendal, parents of Graham, Tess and Rowan; and Alli and Christopher Horst, parents of Desmond, Abe, Juni and Mack.
