Reboot

“Dad, it’s Alli. I’m working on the home computer and for some reason the keyboard stopped working. I’ve tried a bunch of stuff. The mouse still works, but I can’t type. I unplugged the keyboard from the back of the computer and plugged it back in, but that didn’t make any difference. What do you think I should do?”

“Wow, Alli, it worked fine earlier this morning before I left for work. I wonder what happened? Why don’t you shut everything down. Unplug the DSL modem, and let everything sit for about five minutes. Then reboot it and see if that makes a difference.”

“Okay, Dad. I’ll call you back in a few minutes and let you know if that worked.”

“Sounds great, Alli.”

“Hey, Dad, it’s Alli again. That worked great. Everything’s working now. Thanks a lot for your help.”

“I’m glad that it worked. Sometimes the memory in the system gets corrupted and it just needs to be cleared out. Call me if you have any more trouble.”

Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.” ~ John 8:10,11

He alone, Jesus our Savior, makes all things new.

Soiled memories, cluttered pasts, painful disappointment.

Fresh starts. Forgiveness.

Inexhaustible grace and mercy. Unbounded love. Beyond comprehension.

Thank you, Father.
